Found this in my bin-o-parts the other day. It would appear this is officially supported up until windows PX. Pictures of actual unit. One the side, there is a headphone jack, and power socket.

In overall very good condition, some scratches on the top likely from sliding and out of a carrying bag not included. Of the information I have seen which isn't much even on Sony's site. Can't say too much about it, not sure if it is only for Sony, or any other laptop computer with a pcmcia card slot.

I don't know for sure if power is required normal use, or just you wanted to use it as a cd player.
